All I can say is wow! What an incredible journey it's been so far! My externship ended this past friday. It was a bittersweet ending. I passed my externship with an 84% qualifying me for an internship, received my 1 Star, and passed my level 4 Online. All so exciting!!! My horsemanship scores for my other savvies were 3++ for freestyle, 3++ for liberty, and 3+ for finesse. I can't wait to start teaching and helping people live their dreams!
The externship was such an amazing experience! I can't say enough in words how awesome this program is and how it's changed my life! I highly recommend the mastery program to anyone wanting to reach high levels in the program and has professional goals. It seems as though I was there for so long, yet it went by way to fast. I already miss the ranch and all the amazing people. Our externship group was a very close knit group of people, we were more like a family.
Right now I'm at Kelly Sigler's in South Carolina. I arrived here Sunday evening and will be here for around 3 weeks. Savannah and Max have settled in nicely and are very relaxed here. Yesterday they even took a nap laying down together in the arena. I had one of the most amazing rides on Savannah yesterday. Rode her bareback and bridleless.. she was so connected and relaxed. I also had the privilege to play with two of Kelly's super horses, George and Buckley. I played with George online and at liberty, he is lots of fun! Then I played with Buckley at liberty and rode him. He is such a cool horse! What an awesome learning experience to be able to play with such advanced horses.
This morning it's raining, so the afternoon will be filled with horseplay.
Welcome to my blog where I can share my journey with you! I am a Licensed Parelli Professional Two Star Junior Instructor. Here you can read about my experiences with Parelli Natural Horsemanship, my personal horsemanship journey, and my journey with being a Parelli Instructor. I hope to inspire and empower you with my quest for never ending self improvement. I have been studying Parelli for 11 years and am an official Level 3 graduate. I am studying Level 4 with my two horses, Max and Savannah. I grew up riding horses the traditional way and was in the United States Pony Club for 12 years, where I competed in Eventing and Dressage. My first introduction to Parelli was with my pony, who at the time was not a problem horse. I've had my andalusian mare, Savannah for 7 years now and after 2 years of struggling with her while not using Parelli methods, I knew I had to change something. I have been doing Parelli with her for the past 5 years and graduated Level 3 with her fall 2010. In the Spring of 2010 I received Max from Kelly Sigler. I owe it to my two amazing horses, as I would not be where I am now without them, they are my greatest teachers. The journey so far with Parelli has been fun, fulfilling, challenging, and life changing.
