Yesterday afternoon we had the opportunity to audit Walter Zettl lessons again. It is such an honor to be able to watch a master give lessons to amazing horsemen. The first lesson we watched yesterday was Linda's on Westpoint. There was a huge difference in Westpoint's confidence since Linda's lesson on Tuesday. It was absolutely amazing to watch! He is an incredible mover with so much power. I also noticed a big difference in Westpoint since the Game of Contact course that was in November. He has much more confidence in himself and Linda, you could really see how much he trusts Linda and that she will not treat him as he has been in the past.
The second lesson we were able to watch was Amy Bowers on her horse Sapphire. I just love watching Amy ride! She is so quiet, soft, patient, and gentle with Sapphire. Sapphire is also an amazing mover and was using her body so correctly in her lesson. Walter taught her over some jumps too, which was so clear to see how he was teaching dressage over jumps. Sapphire was relaxed, confident, and using her back so nicely. He had her going up with a steady tempo to the jumps and keeping her slow and relaxed, no rushing to the fences. She had such an amazing ride!
